Apple Music has officially launched its rebrand with a new design, logo, and more. And in a video detailing the rebrand, Apple reveals the new look was actually “made by sound.”
We’ve seen signs for weeks that Apple Music had a big rebrand coming, including a fresh app icon and other design updates in iOS 27.2.
Now Apple has officially unveiled its new look and shared that it was “made by sound.”

Like it did when Apple TV rebranded, Apple has published a behind-the-scenes video explaining that the new logo was created practically. And in a fitting move for Apple’s music streaming service, the new Apple Music look was “made by sound.” Apple says:
A story of music, collaboration and craft with Fred again.. and NEST Acoustics. Discover how sound brought the Apple Music logo to life, captured entirely in camera. Just music, made visible.
New, for sure. Looking for that pinkish red app icon on my devices and in the app switcher has become really ingrained into my process. Gonna take some getting used to the app icon blending in with the TV app icon, HBO Max app icon and many others. I love Apple Music. My biggest current complaint is that Siri AI is coming up really short on finding the media I want. I just asked it to play 'Day Tripper (Songwriting Work Tape)' which is in the new Rubber Soul (Super Deluxe) and it played Day Tripper from 'The Beatles Yesterday and Today' which is just the regular version.
Here’s the behind-the-scenes video of the Apple Music rebrand:
Users will see the refreshed Apple Music identity in iOS 27.2 when it launches next week.

For two years he co-hosted the Adapt podcast on Relay FM, which focused entirely on the iPad. As a result, it should come as no surprise that his favorite Apple device is the iPad Pro.
