Apple is opening a new live music venue in Battersea Power Station, London. The new location is called Apple Music Hall, and even has its own website where fans can sign up to get alerted when the first tickets are available.
The 600-person capacity venue will be the stage for intimate one-show-only concerts by artists, which will also be live-streamed for all Apple Music subscribers to enjoy.
The hall features a 38-foot wide stage, a 48-speaker surround sound system for an immersive Spatial Audio experience, and can support more than 16 broadcast cameras as well as iPhone video capture.
Apple says an artist can do a single intimate performance for fans, and immediately have a broadcast-ready mix, Spatial Audio recording, and multi-angle video of the event when they are done. Apple Music Hall is opening on September 28, although the first acts have not yet been announced.
Alongside this news, Apple also announced that it Is opening new radio station studios at Battersea, with all the London-based Apple Music Radio hosts now broadcasting from there.
