While iOS 27 will gain Siri AI when it is released, you may not have access to it initially. Apple is preparing to put it behind a wait list again.
The overhaul of Siri is a major part of iOS 27 and Apple's other upcoming operating systems due this fall. While it's an important element, it won't necessarily be accessible to anyone when the OS updates arrive.
Code has been found in the seventh developer betas of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS Golden Gate to operate a waitlist for Siri AI, reports MacRumors. Once installed, the operating system can enter the wait list, and users will have to wait their turn to gain access.
This is not the first time that Apple has used a waitlist for Siri AI this year. During the initial developer betas after the WWDC keynote, testers had to wait for about a week before being given the all-clear to use Siri AI.
The wait for consumers to use Siri AI won't necessarily be the same as during the developer beta. Developers were simply informed that there was a waitlist, but not updated until they had reached the front.
This time, the code includes dynamic wait messages, complete with an estimate of how long that user can expect to be in line. The messages will refresh based on server-side data, including the demand and capacity, with an update provided when it is available to use.
