We’re just a few weeks away from the rumored launch of the foldable iPhone Ultra. As we’ve written before, excitement for the device is mounting.
A new report from Bloomberg today outlines what people inside Apple who have used the iPhone Ultra love about it.
Multiple reports suggest the iPhone Ultra will cost upwards of $2,000. It’s expected to have a main camera and an ultra-wide camera, but not a telephoto camera. It will reportedly use Touch ID instead of Face ID for biometric authentication.
I’m incredibly excited for iPhone Ultra, and these tidbits from Gurman only make me even more optimistic it’s the device for me.
I was originally skeptical of the foldable iPhone’s form factor. However, as we’ve learned more about the specific size and its benefits, I’ve come around to it.
The positive reviews of Samsung’s latest Galaxy Z Fold 8 have also offered great real-world insight into a very similar form factor to the iPhone Ultra.
There will, of course, be limitations compared to the iPhone 18 Pro. I use an iPhone Air right now, so I’m used to life without a telephoto camera, and a return to Touch ID doesn’t seem like much of an adjustment.
