Samsung has announced its new credit card, the “Galaxy Card,” which offers up to 5% cashback on Galaxy device purchases.
Ahead of its Galaxy Unpacked event on Wednesday, Samsung has detailed the “Galaxy Card” as a physical credit card that opens up on July 22. The card is issued by Barclays and operates on Visa, with the physical card being made from metal and having a matte black finish with a Samsung logo across the front.
Samsung offers cashback categories on the Galaxy Card, topping out at 5% on purchases through Samsung, including Galaxy device purchases. You’ll get 3% back on purchases in Samsung Wallet, and 2% on streaming services. Everything else gets 1%.
The card also gives Samsung customers a 20% discount on Samsung VIP Advantage, an annual membership that offers Care+, boosted rewards on Samsung.com, early access, and other perks.
Samsung teases that Galaxy Card offers integration with Samsung Wallet, though Samsung hasn’t detailed exactly what else customers gain over a standard linked credit card.
With Samsung Galaxy Card’s convenient integration with Samsung Wallet, users can store it alongside other compatible cards, IDs, passes, digital keys, and more. Samsung Wallet is designed to keep what users need within reach while supporting an open ecosystem through trusted partner integrations that expand user experiences over time. Plus, enjoy added peace of mind with Samsung’s on-device defense-grade security platform Samsung Knox.
Applications for Galaxy Card will open on July 22 for the general public.
