Refreshed HomePod mini, Apple TV and new HomeHub coming on October 13

A new report claims that Apple is planning October 13 for the unveiling of a trio of home products, including the much-awaited HomeHub or HomePod.

It's already been leaked that the HomePod mini refresh will be confined to new colors, and the updated Apple TV 4K will keep its existing chassis design. According to Bloomberg, these two are set to be released alongside the brand-new home hub.

As previously reported, that HomePod with a screen has been waiting only for the updated Siri AI to be released. All three of these devices were reportedly first scheduled to launch as long ago as 2024.

No details of pricing or really of any configuration is known for the home hub, although there have been code leaks that describe how its screen will work. The device is also believed to check for nearby iPhones, and then display relevant data for that user.

Intended to be used by multiple people, this device is expected to act as a central control unit of your Apple Home. It's previously been reported to launch in 2024, 2025, and most recently in late 2026.

The colors of the refreshed HomePod mini lineup colors are expected to be black, white, blue, pink, and green. It's also expected that four such HomePod minis could be paired to an Apple TV 4K, too.

Then the new Apple TV 4K is presumed to bring Siri AI to the TV set for the first time, and it's rumored to feature both an A20 Pro processor and a doubling of RAM to 8GB. Those are needed for Siri AI but will also benefit gamers.

The existing larger HomePod is said to be getting a refresh as well, but not alongside this launch. Apple is also planning home security devices, which are currently expected to launch in 2027.

Apple is not expected to release any other brand-new devices, but according to the new report, it is working with other companies. Apple is said to be revising its HomeKit software to better support third-party devices.
