Are you planning to line up at the Apple Store for a walk-in iPhone Duo purchase? Here’s what Apple says about availability to expect for the new model.
Last week when iPhone Duo pre-orders launched and almost instantly got backordered, many made plans to visit the Apple Store on October 23 in the hope of securing a walk-in purchase.
Today in a statement to 9to5Mac, Apple outlined what to expect from in-store stock around the world.
“On Friday morning, our teams look forward to welcoming customers at Apple Stores to experience iPhone Duo and the incredible iPhone line-up for themselves. Apple Stores will have limited iPhone Duo available for walk-in customers, and we’re working hard to get this revolutionary new product into customers’ hands as quickly as possible.”
The company confirms that it has allocated some iPhone Duo units for Apple Store walk-ins. However, because of high demand it will likely sell out very quickly.
Here are the countries where iPhone Duo will have walk-in inventory at Apple Stores: United States, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Mexico, Germany, Macao, Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Türkiye, UK, and most stores in Italy.
Here’s where only online orders for pick-up will be available, rather than walk-ins: China Mainland, France, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and UAE.
If you can’t get an iPhone Duo on launch day, the good news is that reports keep coming in of iPhone Duo pre-order dates being moved up.
That’s not happening in all cases of course. But if you haven’t yet ordered an iPhone Duo and don’t secure one Friday, perhaps the current January delivery estimates will improve significantly.
Do you plan to try getting an iPhone Duo at the Apple Store on Friday? How early will you line up? Let us know in the comments.
