Gemini is constantly evolving, and when that doesn’t mean the introduction of a new model, it’s often because we’re checking out Google’s latest tweaks to the layout of the app itself. Last week, we uncovered early progress towards changing up how Gemini Settings operate, moving information over from your account switcher. That effort appears to only be expanding, as we spot some further adjustments in the work for Gemini Settings.

This time, we’re looking at version 17.60.13.sa.arm64 of the Google app for Android. While this build will still show the existing Settings layout on your own device, we’re able to get an early preview at some of the reorganization that’s taking place behind the scenes. Right away, you should be able to notice how this new look differs from what Gemini’s been doing so far:
While right now these options exist as part of the app’s account switcher, we already saw Google planning to move many of them over to Gemini Settings. But as you can see here, Gemini Settings itself could be preparing to change up its look to more directly resemble the current account switcher options.
Last time, you might remember that we saw Google preparing to split Gemini Settings up with some new groupings, organizing entries into categories for Preferences, Data & privacy, and Get support. Here we see those categories return, albeit now with this new UI.
“But wait,” you say, “what happened to all those other options we had in Gemini Settings before?” Based on what we’re seeing today, a lot of those would find new homes on a couple sub-screens:
Both Voice options and those for Device controls would be accessible through these new pages. Honestly, the reorganization makes a lot of sense, as so far Gemini Settings have been weirdly spread out, and unless you already know where the selection you’re looking for lives, tracking it down when you need to change it might not be entirely intuitive.
Finally, we’re spotting a fresh addition here: Tasks on Android.
This isn’t one that’s being relocated from somewhere else in Settings, and based on the description attached to it, this sounds like something possibly related to Gemini Spark or, perhaps more likely, Gemini Intelligence. For the moment, though, we can’t say for sure, and may just have to wait until Google finishes work on its new Settings UI and we can see the whole thing in action.
