It looks like Samsung is riding a wave of success with the recent Z Fold 8 and 8 Ultra, as the Korean tech giant says they are the most pre-ordered foldables in Europe to date.
You may remember the news that the Galaxy recently broke some pre-order records in Korea, but that now extends to Europe, as the company has confirmed a 70% year-over-year increase in pre-orders for the Z Fold 8 compared to the Z Fold 7. When combined with the Z Flip, there has been a 17% total increase in the number of people looking to get the latest hardware on day one.
The introduction of a form factor in the Galaxy Fold8 is exciting consumers across Europe, setting a new benchmark in foldable phone innovation and accounting for 40% of total European pre-orders. Combined pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Fold8 an Z Fold8 Ultra have increased 70% year-on year compared to the Galaxy Z Fold7.
This now means that the recently launched devices are the most pre-ordered foldable handsets in the region, with 40% of those opting for the smaller-form-factor Galaxy Z Fold 8. The company didn’t drill down into the details of those ordering the Z Flip 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra, but it’s clearly a strong start to life for the newest component within the lineup.
Together with the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip8, pre-orders for the new Z Series have surpassed the previous pre-order record by over 17% in Europe – with pre-orders still open for one more day before on-sale on August 7 2026.
This also seems to align with recent news that the Z Fold 8 is actually prompting Z Flip owners to switch due to its smaller form factor and enhanced inner-screen experience. It’s a timely boon just as the latest lineup is beginning to ship out from August 7 to eager early adopters, with some pre-order bonuses set to expire in the coming weeks.
