Specifically, they work with many OEM router manufacturers, provide a white-label app experience, and offer care service to help diagnose networking support issues.
As usual, before we get into the interview, we start with home automation news.
The biggest announcement this week was from Apple, as it launched the first public beta of its 27 operating systems. We got the public versions of iOS 27, macOS 27, tvOS 27, and more.
For those who jump into testing and want to try the new smart home features, it's important to note that all Home Hubs must be updated to the respective "27" betas before Apple Intelligence on Apple Home video will work. Home Hubs include Apple TV, HomePod, and HomePod mini, as a refresher.
In other news, a new Airversa humidifier has launched. It is coming to market with Thread and Apple Home support. Matter is coming in a firmware update post-launch.
Finally, Zemismart has a new 2-gang smart switch. This Zigbee-based switch requires a hub, but looks sleek with a 1.9-inch color touchscreen and real-time energy monitoring.
In the latter half of the episode we get into Plume. Alan Coleman serves as the company's Chief Product Officer.
During the interview, we get into how Plume can get people to like their ISPs again, how its preparing for Matter and Thread-enabled routers, and how it can use Machine Learning to optimize home traffic for smart home devices.
