iPhone Duo pre-orders start on Friday, October 16, but Apple just announced when you can get an early start on the process. Here are the details.
When Apple launches a major new iPhone model, it usually offers a window of time during which you can ‘Get ready’ for the pre-order by making your selections in advance.
The company just confirmed it will do the same for iPhone Duo. Per a new update on Apple’s website, you can begin the iPhone Duo pre-order process as early as Monday, October 12.
Starting October 12, and likely running through much of the day October 15, you’ll be able to go to the Apple Store app or Apple’s online store and make your pre-order selections in advance.
This includes choosing your iPhone Duo color, storage amount, wireless carrier, payment method, and more.
By completing this process ahead of time, Apple says you can get through checkout faster when iPhone Duo pre-orders go live on Friday, October 16 at 8:00 a.m. ET / 5:00 a.m. PT.
If you haven’t done it before, I highly recommend the ‘Get ready’ process to anyone ordering directly from Apple. It’s a great way to minimize potential hiccups on the morning of pre-orders, which means you’ll have a better chance of launch day delivery.
