Included in today’s macOS 27.3 beta 1 is a great-looking screensaver featuring an animated version of the new MacBook Pro with PROLED XDR Display wallpaper. Watch it below.
As it does for most new Macs, Apple designed a striking-looking wallpaper to mark the launch of the new MacBook Pro.
Continuing its tradition of incorporating product names into its wallpapers, the new design features a series of flowing, metallic-looking lines that spell out the word “PRO.”
Unsurprisingly, the design also proved divisive, with some users saying it reminds them of a glitchy, broken screen. Granted, the timing is particularly unfortunate, given the recent reports of display issues affecting the iPhone Duo.
That said, today’s release of macOS 27.3 beta includes a screensaver version of the wallpaper, called Pro Light, where light slowly moves along the metallic-looking lines, illuminating different parts of the “PRO” lettering as others fade into darkness.
