Following today’s launch of the iPhone Duo, Apple has now published multiple repair guides and manuals for users and independent technicians looking to replace or repair individual components in the device. Here are the details.
Earlier today, Apple published a series of support documents covering software and hardware issues that might affect the iPhone Duo, including hinge problems, Touch ID, and display troubleshooting.
Now, the company has also released its official repair manual for the device, with detailed step-by-step instructions for replacing individual components.
Apple recommends that users and technicians read the entire repair manual before getting started, and only proceed if they feel comfortable performing the repairs as instructed.
There are also dedicated safety guides for procedures involving broken glass and battery replacements, with Apple outlining the necessary precautions, tools, and steps to minimize the risk of injury or damage.
It’s worth noting that although Apple also offers genuine replacement parts and tools through its Self Service Repair Store, parts for the iPhone Duo aren’t available just yet.
That said, Apple’s official iPhone Duo repair manuals include procedures for replacing the following components:
The iPhone Duo Repair Manual page also offers detailed diagrams of the device’s internals, along with lists of replacement parts and required tools, and you can check it out here.
