Apple promotes ‘Nido de Villanas,’ a Mexican microdrama shot on iPhone 17 Pro

Apple has shared a first look at Nido de Villanas, a tongue-in-cheek Mexican microdrama shot entirely on an iPhone 17 Pro, which is now available as 14 Shorts on YouTube.

Apple’s YouTube channel has published a first-look video inviting users to watch Nido de Villanas, a microdrama shot entirely on iPhone 17 Pro, as part of the company’s long-running Shot on iPhone campaign.

The first-look video explains the basic premise of Nido de Villanas: “a microdrama full of ambition, secrets, and betrayals, where four women are willing to do anything to claim the Iturribiaga fortune.”

Comprising 14 Shorts of about 2 minutes each, Nido de Villanas highlights many of the iPhone 17 Pro’s camera features, including the Action Mode, 8x optical-quality zoom, slow motion, focus adjustments, and more.

With its over-the-top plot twists, heightened performances, dramatic soundtrack and sound effects, and exaggerated camerawork, Nido de Villanas is a playful parody of classic Mexican telenovelas while also serving as a showcase for the iPhone 17 Pro’s camera capabilities.
