The last two months have seen quite a smartphone launch frenzy, and it’s almost time to welcome another big launch from camp Samsung. The company has announced a new Galaxy Event for August 27, where it says it will introduce the “newest addition to the Galaxy S26 family.”

Samsung isn’t saying exactly what the device is, but at this point, it’s pretty obvious that it’s the Galaxy S26 FE.

Samsung’s invite says that the new phone is designed to bring many of the Galaxy S26’s experiences, “from camera to AI,” to more users. The company also teased the latest version of One UI, which would line up nicely with what we’ve already seen in the many Galaxy S26 FE leaks.

We recently saw a leaked hands-on video showing what appears to be the Galaxy S26 FE in the wild, while extensively leaked marketing materials have also revealed most of the phone’s specs and features.

Based on those leaks, the Galaxy S26 FE could arrive with a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, Samsung’s 3nm Exynos 2500 chipset, 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of storage. Around back, we’re expecting a triple-camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera, 12MP ultrawide, and an 8MP 3x telephoto camera.

The phone could also pack a 4,900mAh battery with 45W charging, an IP68 rating, an aluminum frame, and Gorilla Glass Victus Plus. More recently, European energy certification suggested the S26 FE could deliver up to 50 hours of typical-use battery life, earning it an A rating.

Samsung is also expected to ship the phone with One UI 9 based on Android 17 and seven years of software updates. Leaks have pointed to Graphite, Blueberry, and Pistachio colors, although the hands-on videos we’ve seen have shown a purple/violet version too.

An earlier leak suggested the phone could cost around €749 (~$875), which would represent quite a sizeable bump over the Galaxy S25 FE. Then again, the RAM crisis has forced price hikes across the market, so this was expected.

We’ll find out soon enough. Samsung’s Galaxy Event August 2026 kicks off on August 27 at 9 PM KST (8 AM ET)
