Google’s upcoming Googlebook platform is steadily taking shape. After recent leaks revealed what Lenovo and ASUS are preparing, fresh evidence now suggests Dell may also be getting ready to launch its own premium Googlebook, and it could carry one of the company’s most recognizable laptop brands.
According to findings pieced together by ChromeUnboxed, recent Geekbench listings point to an unreleased device identified as “Dell XPS 13 (DX13267),” marking what appears to be Dell’s first Googlebook with XPS branding.
The benchmark entries reportedly reference an internal board codenamed “Mica,” which previously surfaced in Chromium development tied to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X-based Googlebook hardware. The software build also references Android 17 desktop builds, further connecting the device to Google’s so-called Aluminium OS desktop operating system.
If the leaked hardware is accurate, Dell’s Googlebook could be a premium laptop featuring Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite (X1E-80-100) processor, paired with either 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Other rumored specifications include a 13.4-inch 2,880 x 1,800 OLED touchscreen, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth, and dual USB-C ports.
The leaked Geekbench 6 listings show single-core scores of around 2,200 and multi-core scores topping 9,500. However, these results should be taken with a healthy dose of skepticism. Not only could they be based on pre-release software that isn’t fully optimized, but benchmark listings are also relatively easy to spoof.
That said, perhaps the biggest takeaway here is the branding Dell is said to be using. The laptop maker traditionally uses the XPS name for its flagship laptops. If this leak proves accurate, Googlebook could become the first Google-powered platform to receive the premium XPS treatment.
