Next year is the 20th anniversary of the iPhone, and rumors point to a radical new design for the iPhone Pro models. A new leak reveals dimensions for larger screen sizes reportedly coming.
When the iPhone’s 10th anniversary hit in 2017, Apple had a very special model ready to launch: the iPhone X.
Rumors indicate the company is preparing something similarly unique for the 20th anniversary next year.
Next year’s iPhone Pro models will reportedly have bezel-free, quad-curved displays that wrap around the edges of the device.
The Dynamic Island cutout may be reduced or eliminated too, making for a seamless all-glass appearance.
And per a new post from leaker Digital Chat Station, Apple has new screen sizes in store too. He says the company is testing the following:
He adds that both devices will have an increased physical size but maintain the same aspect ratio of current models. So it sounds like the larger screens won’t just be a result of bezel reduction.
Apple last bumped the size of its Pro models in 2024, when the iPhone 16 Pro went from 6.1 to 6.3 inches and the Pro Max from 6.7 to 6.9 inches.
While next year’s bumps sound more minor, because of the quad-curved design they should ultimately feel more strikingly different overall.
