Apple shares fell as much as 4.43% in after-hours trading on Monday during the company’s fiscal Q4 2026 earnings call, before recovering some of those losses later in the evening. Here are the details.
Apple today reported its fiscal Q4 2026 results, with a 12% increase in revenue, another 12% increase in net profit, and record revenue from its Services category, following its first sequential quarterly decline in 15 quarters.
The results also included a 17% increase in iPhone revenue and a 24% increase in Mac revenue, but an 8% decline in Wearables, Home, and Accessories revenue, which Apple attributed to “a difficult compare against the launch of the Watch SE 3 and the AirPods Pro 3 in the prior year,” and a 10% decline in iPad revenue, which Apple attributed to supply constraints and a similarly difficult comparison against last year’s A16-powered iPad launch.
During the conference call, Apple CEO John Ternus, CFO Kevan Parekh, and COO Sabih Khan fielded questions from analysts about rising memory costs, recent hardware price increases, and ongoing supply constraints, including those affecting the iPhone Duo.
The executives also offered a mixed outlook for the holiday quarter, with Apple expecting its highest quarterly revenue ever, but slower year-over-year growth, lower profit margins, and continued shortages of Mac and iPad models.
After ending the regular trading session down 1.83%, Apple shares initially climbed 0.5% to $340.00 following the earnings release. However, as the conference call progressed, the stock reversed course, falling to $323.33, or 4.43% below Monday’s closing price. Shares then recovered some of those losses, ending the after-hours session at $328.81, down 2.81%.
Of course, post-earnings after-hours trading doesn’t necessarily reflect how a stock will perform during the next day’s regular session, so it remains to be seen how investors will react when markets reopen on Tuesday after digesting tonight’s news.
