The NFL and Apple Music announced today that JAŸ-Z will headline the Apple Music Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show on February 14, 2027. Here are the details.
Tonight, Apple Music and the NFL confirmed during the Dallas Cowboys-Philadelphia Eagles Monday Night Football game that “twenty-five-time Grammy Award-winner Jay-Z will perform at the Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2027.”
The NFL’s press release hinted at the possibility of JAŸ-Z’s wife, superstar Beyoncé, appearing as a special guest, which would mark her return to the Super Bowl halftime stage for the first time since 2016, when she performed alongside Coldplay and Bruno Mars. Beyoncé also headlined the halftime show in 2013.
The NFL’s announcement also mentions several celebrities who joined JAŸ-Z during his recent tour, including Blue Ivy Carter, John Legend, DJ Khaled, Too $hort, Dr. Dre, and Snoop Dogg, making them potential candidates for guest appearances at the halftime show as well.
It’s worth noting that JAŸ-Z founded Roc Nation, which has partnered with the NFL since 2019 to help select and produce Super Bowl halftime performances. The company will also serve as executive producer of next year’s show.
In the announcement teaser, JAŸ-Z appeared surrounded by goats, alongside the tagline “Goat’s out of the bag.” The video also features Apple Music’s recently-revamped branding.
Earlier this year, the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show featuring Bad Bunny made history by winning seven Emmy Awards, more than any previous halftime show, despite the controversy surrounding his selection as the headliner.
Whether next year’s show will repeat that success remains to be seen.
