Welcome to Indie App Spotlight. This is a weekly 9to5Mac series where we showcase the latest apps in the indie app world. If you’re a developer and would like your app featured, get in contact.
Milepost turns your roadtrips into more of a journey. It lets you record all of your drives, and journal all of the key moments that happened along the route, so your roadtrips become a lot more memorable – rather than just a blip of time.
Most people drive a ton, but a lot of the experience is forgotten once you reach the destination. Milepost helps you keep track of that, by letting you save the route, distance, speed, time, and weather. You can also take notes, add photos, and make it into a true gallery, which the app calls roadbooks. The roadbook serves as a true timeline of your journey, and you can even tie in Apple Music to see what you were listening to while driving.
Milepost isn’t just about your own drives though, it’s also meant to be a social experience. You can share your journeys with friends with its built in social network, and they can also comment and react to what you share. The app also has a well-designed garage experience where you can share what cars you have.
The app supports Siri, Shortcuts, as well as CarPlay. It’s available on all Apple platforms, including the Mac, where you have a larger view to get a more detailed look at your drive. Beyond that, it also offers an MCP server so you can plan future trips with your agents based on what you’ve done in the past.
Milepost is available for free on the App Store for the core experience, but if you subscribe to Milepost Pro, you unlock full drive history, the ability to share more designs, alternative app icons, as well as driving insights. Milepost Pro is $4.99/month, $29.99/year, or $199 lifetime. It’s available with a 7 day free trial.

Featuring two built in cables, a built in display, multiple ports, a 25,000mAh capacity, and up to 100W of output – this is one of the best battery banks for recharging your entire Apple ecosystem on the go.
Despite a new version reportedly being around a corner, I still personally believe AirPods Pro 2 are a great deal. They're already equipped with USB-C, and continually gain new software features. With them consistently going on sale, it's a great purchase to make. Features like Adaptive Audio are incredible.
