watchOS 27 is the latest major software update for Apple Watch, and among its variety of new features, it adds three new apps to your Watch.
Siri just got a major AI overhaul in watchOS 27, and one part of that is a brand new Siri app.
The Siri app is available across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Vision Pro, and also the Apple Watch.
watchOS 27 still lets you invoke Siri via the Digital Crown, but the app is another place you can go to start a conversation. Perhaps more importantly, the app is where you can browse past ones.
Siri AI is more conversational than the old assistant, and keeps a record of past queries across all your devices. So the Siri app in watchOS 27 shows you conversations not just from your Apple Watch, but from your iPhone, Mac, and more.
Joining iOS 27’s new features for the Find My app, Apple has rethought the Find My experience in watchOS this year too.
In watchOS 26, Find My was split up into three separate apps: Find Devices, Find Items, and Find People.
But in watchOS 27, Apple has streamlined all finding features into a new, unified ‘Find My’ app.
Find My on Apple Watch provides all the functionality of the previous three apps, but in a condensed experience so you can easily locate anything or anyone on a map-centric view.
You can switch between different things you’re looking for via a menu in the top-left corner, but otherwise you’ll see a consistent interface.
If you own an Apple Watch Series 12 or Apple Watch Ultra 4, watchOS 27 also adds a third app: Readiness.
Here’s what the Readiness app does, per the App Store:
The Readiness app analyzes your recent activity, vitals, and sleep to help you understand your capacity to take on the day.
Essentially, Readiness provides you a quick glimpse into your overall vitals so you know how well rested and ready your body may be on a given day.
