If you have ever felt fed up with the ad-heavy, recommendation-bloated interfaces taking over your Android TV-based TVs and streaming sticks and boxes, chances are you’ve explored how to install a Google TV launcher alternative. Among the most iconic tools in that space is ATV Launcher, which received its 0.1.40 update last month, featuring a new layout editor. Now, the developer is keeping that update momentum going with the rollout of ATV Launcher v0.1.41.
As announced on Reddit, ATV Launcher version 0.1.41 leans heavily into aesthetic control and home-screen utility. Headlining the update is “Arrangements,” which brings ten fixed row layouts such as Spotlight, Bookends, Centre Stage, Marquee, and Hero Trio, featuring double-sized highlight tiles alongside traditional horizontal and vertical scrolling rows.
The update also lets you place widgets directly inside app rows via a tile’s context menu. Supported options include Weather, Digital Clock, System Info, Favorite App, Watch Next, Recommended, and standard Android system widgets (as supported by your device firmware).
In tandem with this, the developer has launched “ATV Launcher Digital Clock Widgets,” a separate free companion pack featuring 15 distinct clock styles, such as Halo, Masthead, Orbit, Departure, and Meridian.
Visual flexibility across individual elements is also being overhauled. Folders can now display internal contents through Grid, Banner Grid, or Mosaic previews. An upgraded Configure Tile dialog adds a live preview interface offering seven looks for apps and nine for folders, paired with custom banner assignments and color, gradient, or image backgrounds with variable transparency.
Meanwhile, the Watch Next and Recommended cards receive edge-to-edge artwork, progress bars, configurable app-source filters, and badge options.
Rounding out the release is a fully modular status bar. Users can toggle and reorder icons, select floating or fixed placement, choose between full-width and boxed-pill styles, and even switch TV inputs straight from the bar.
The ATV Launcher v0.1.41 update is rolling out now via the Google Play Store for existing users.
