As spotted by Exame (via MacMagazine), Volvo has announced that an over-the-air update will add Apple Music to the infotainment system of several models.
According to a press release on the automaker’s website, “the software update is coming to the Volvo EX90, ES90, XC90, S90, V90, XC60, S60, V60, XC40, EX40 and EC40, from model year 2020 and onwards.” The press release adds that the “timing of availability may vary depending on car model.”
To celebrate the integration, eligible Volvo customers who are new to Apple Music can get three months free, while returning subscribers who have been away for at least one month can get two months free.
In addition to standard Apple Music playback, the Volvo EX60, EX90, and ES90 will support Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos when equipped with the optional Bowers & Wilkins sound system. The newly launched EX60 will also ship with Apple Music natively integrated when deliveries begin this summer.
