Those keeping up with Apple's release cycles shouldn't be surprised by most of this list. The iPad Pro with M5 update fits Apple's usual 18-month or so cycle, and new Apple Pencil models make sense given the launch of iPhone Duo.
New MacBook models, the long-rumored base iPad upgrade, and the base iPhone models are all within expectation for Apple's release cycle as well. Rumors indicated Apple could have released an updated base iPad at any time, but likely waited for Siri AI to finalize the product, like with Apple TV, HomePod mini, and Home Hub.
